The Stratocaster and the Jazz Bass are 2 of my favourite guitar body designs. I wanted to come up with a design that had a little bit of both guitars, so the StratoJazzer was born. This body design is available as a bass and as a 6 string electric.

The body is solid Hackberry finished with a red automotive paint. I have used this paint before with much success and I think it looks great on this project as well. It has 3 pickups... a Mighty Mite Humbucker in the bridge position and a set of Jazz Bass pickups in the middle and neck position. It is wired to a 5 way switch, pretty much the same as a Stratocaster is wired.

It has a Maple neck with Maple fingerboard and a truss rod that adjusts at the head. The headstock is styled like a Tele Bass. The tuners are heavy duty open Fender style and all hardware is chrome.
