Tele-Coaster
This is my latest Telecaster style guitar. Since building my first one several months ago I have really become a fan of this "working man's guitar". The beauty of the Telecaster is in its simplicity... And I love that in a guitar.
Features of this guitar include a solid Hackberry body finished in a mixture of medium Danish Oil and red automotive lacquer. I then applied a couple coats of MinWax Wipe On Poly. It has a Maple neck with maple fingerboard and a truss rod that adjusts at the head. This is one of a few necks that I made myself and I am quite happy with the result.
It has sealed Grover style tuners, and a vintage style adjustable bridge with 3 brass saddles. Strings can mount through the body or on the bridge.
The pickups are Vintage '53 Style Tele Pickups by Mike Turk from Bracebridge, ON. I can't say enough good things about Mike Turk's pickups. They sound totally awesome!!! It is wired like a standard Tele.
