This is the second Surf Bass that I have built. The style is the same as the proto-type, but practically every other component and detail is different.

Features of this guitar include a semi hollow "honey comb construction" Hackberry body with resonant chambers in the upper and lower bouts and a Pseudo Sound Hole. 30 inch scale Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and hackberry headstock veneer to match the body. Truss rod that adjusts at the heel. It has Dano Tuners, Dano Lipstick Tube pickup in the "bridge" position and a Seymour Duncan Lipstick Tube pickup in the "neck" position. Dual Concentric Volume/Tone pots, 3 way pickup selector switch and a mini toggle switch that allows for increased tone range. It is stained with a Peacock Blue Aniline stain, sealed with Shellac and protected with 3 coats of MinWax wipe on poly. Just look at that beautiful grain!!!
