This guitar is a mish-mash of old used parts, broken parts and oddball parts. It started out a couple years ago when I cut out a Tele body from a piece of hackberry that had a great big ugly knot in it. I wasn't really intending to use it for a guitar… it was just a conversation piece in the shop.

Then earlier this year I ended up getting a neck back from a project that got damaged in shipping. It was a relatively easy repair so I decided to match up the neck with the body.

I sorted through my stock of old, used parts and found just about everything else I needed to finish it off. The only parts that are new are the pickups, pots, switch and knobs. I distressed the knobs and pickups so that they fit in a bit better with the theme of the guitar.

The guitar has purposely been left a bit on the rough side. You may get a sliver if you rub it the wrong way…  :o)
